The Royalty Theatre regrets that, as a volunteer organisation, we can only currently offer an occasional box-office facility on our premises.  We would very much like to hear from any local city centre businesses who may be able to help provide a box office service for us.  If you believe that you can be of assistance or have any questions, please get in touch with us.

Prices and Other Information

Ticket Prices

Tickets for shows produced by the Royalty Theatre are priced at £10 full price / £8.50 concessions (available for students in full-time education, under 18s, unemployed, and senior citizens).

Outside hires and other shows not included in our season or membership will have different pricing arrangements.  Tickets for outside hires will not always be available via this site.

Memberships

Memberships are a great way to save money if you want to see our shows regularly.  Full Season Memberships include admission to all of our in-house produced main stage productions. The ticket also includes membership to the theatre with all due entitlements, such as voting at AGMs.

We also have an active members’ scheme for actors, directors, stage crew, and other professionals in the performing arts.  This membership will entitle members to one half-price ticket for each in-house production and AGM voting rights.  Junior memberships are also available.

For more information on memberships, please see the Memberships page.

Seating for Wheelchair Users

Seating in our main auditorium includes two spaces (B14 and D14), which are regular seats that can be removed at a moment’s notice to accommodate a wheelchair.  If requiring the use of these for a show that’s likely to be busy (particularly pantomimes), please try to book these as early as you can.

Blue Light Card

We are now registered with Blue Light Card! Our affiliation with Blue Light Card will provide those in the NHS, emergency services, social care sector and armed forces with 2-for-1 tickets (once per show per Blue Light Card) for all of our performances (some exceptions may apply – outside hires such as Sunderland Theatre Company shows do not apply). For more information, see Blue Light Card’s website.

We are aware that Blue Light Card holders are currently unable to use their Blue Light Card discount for Royalty Theatre tickets via TicketSource. We are presently working with TicketSource to resolve this issue. We don’t want anyone to miss out, though, so until this issue is resolved, if you wish to reserve tickets using your Blue Light Card, please get in touch with chair@royaltytheatre.co.uk and let us know the show, date and number of tickets you would like. We will then reserve these for you, and you can pay for your tickets at the Box Office on the night. I appreciate your patience while we work with TicketSource to introduce this feature to our online booking system.

For any other queries regarding our Blue Light Card offer, please get in touch with us.
